10 Effective Home Remedies For Pigmentation

- Squeeze fresh lemon, dip a cotton ball in it, apply directly on the dark spots.
- Leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
- Wash it off with cold water.
You can repeat this procedure twice a day. If the lemon juice proves to be harsh on your skin, you can even mix it with honey and then apply it.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar Is A Charm
Apple cider vinegar is one of the best home remedies for hyperpigmentation and also for skin lightening too.
Working Procedure:
- Mix an equal amount of water and apple cider vinegar.
- Apply this mixture to the affected areas of your face and leave it on for at least two minutes.
- Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
- Alternatively, add two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to half a glass of warm water.
- Then mix in one teaspoon of honey. Drink this solution twice a day, morning and night, for a couple of weeks until you notice an improvement.
3. Aloe Vera Never Fails
Aloe Vera contains mucilaginous polysaccharides which cause the older skin to slough off, leaving clearer looking and rejuvenated skin behind.
Working Procedure:
- Apply some fresh aloe vera gel on the pigmented skin and leave it on overnight.
- Rinse it off in the morning. Do it daily for a few weeks to get good results.
- Otherwise, combine two tablespoons of aloe vera gel and one-half tablespoon of raw honey.
- Mix well and let it settle for 15 minutes.
- Apply the mixture to the pigmentation and let it dry.
- After 20 minutes, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy once daily for at least two weeks.
4. Raw Potatoes For Lightening The Spots
Potatoes contain an enzyme called catecholase that has the ability to lighten the skin tone. They are said to work very well in pigmented areas, dark spots, and blemishes.
Working Procedure:
- Take a fresh potato and cut it in a half and add a few drops of water on the exposed side.
- Rub it well on the affected areas of your skin.
- Wash off with cold water after 10 minutes.
5. Almond Oil As A Moisturizer
Almond oil contains vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin B, and fatty acids. The fatty acids lie in almond oil helps clean your pores. The vitamins in it moisturize the skin, clean and tighten pores, exfoliate dead skin, and help regenerate new skin.

- Massage almond oil onto your skin before going to bed.
